Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and treatment procedures
- Perform vital signs measurements and EKG screenings
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical instruments
- Coordinate patient flow and manage appointment schedules
- Collect and process laboratory specimens
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in urgent care or ER
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Michigan state nursing license (if applicable)
- Fluency in English/Spanish highly valued
