Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and administer emergency treatments during overnight shifts
- Respond to critical medical incidents with rapid assessment and intervention
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic documentation systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during emergency scenarios
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA safety protocols
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment for immediate deployment
- Provide patient education and discharge planning before shift end
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Technician (CMT) or EMT-P certification required
- Minimum 2 years emergency room or urgent care experience
- Current BLS/ACLS certifications with no lapse in renewal
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong decision-making skills under high-pressure situations
- Proficiency with Epic EMR systems and point-of-care devices
- Flexibility to cover variable overnight shifts including weekends
- Valid California driver's license (for mobile response units)
