Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures to support business intelligence and reporting requirements.
- Design and implement robust database schemas, normalization strategies, and data models that align with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and data scientists, to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Perform comprehensive database performance tuning, indexing strategies, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and low latency.
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical mentorship to junior developers, and establish best practices for database development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in SQL development, database administration, or data engineering.
- Expert knowledge of T-SQL (SQL Server) or PL/SQL (Oracle) and proficiency in writing efficient, complex queries.
- Solid experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
