Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services for transaction processing and financial integrations.
- Ensure system security, scalability, and reliability (99.99% uptime) in compliance with PCI-DSS and SOC2 standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of product managers, designers, and security experts to deliver innovative financial products.
- Optimize database queries and microservices architecture to handle millions of transactions per second.
- Conduct code reviews, perform technical debt assessments, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of excellence.
- Implement real-time data processing pipelines using modern streaming technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on financial services or high-frequency trading systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python or Java, with deep knowledge of asynchronous programming.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with financial APIs, RESTful services, and modern web development frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically about security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
