Responsibilities
- Architect 2D Rendering Engines: Design and implement robust rendering pipelines using HTML5 Canvas, WebGL, and SVG to deliver high-fidelity graphics.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize rendering performance to ensure 60fps animations even on lower-end devices.
- Visual Effects Development: Create complex particle systems, fluid simulations, and dynamic transitions that elevate user engagement.
- Cross-Platform Compatibility: Ensure seamless rendering consistency across desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers.
- Code Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers to translate mockups into pixel-perfect, interactive visual assets.
- Technical Documentation: Document rendering techniques, algorithms, and API integrations for the engineering team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience developing 2D graphics for web applications or games.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and WebGL (via Three.js or raw WebGL).
- Mathematical Proficiency: Strong understanding of linear algebra, vector mathematics, and pixel manipulation.
- Tooling: Experience with version control (Git) and build tools like Webpack or Vite.
- Problem Solving: Ability to debug complex rendering artifacts and optimize memory usage.
