Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in high-acuity settings including ICU and emergency departments
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment protocols and discharge planning
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in rapid response codes and emergency interventions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records using Epic EMR system
Qualifications
- Valid NYS RN license with current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- BSN degree required (MSN preferred)
- Proven expertise in patient assessment and critical care procedures
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights and weekends
- Strong communication skills and emotional resilience
- Experience with Epic EMR system mandatory
- ACLS certification required (PALS preferred)
