Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in high-acuity emergency settings
- Assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans for diverse medical conditions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Administer medications and perform complex procedures accurately
- Document patient records with precision and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Participate in trauma resuscitations and critical care interventions
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to departmental quality initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (or compact state)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum 2 years ER/trauma experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications mandatory
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-stress environments
- Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including weekends/holidays
