Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation applications
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures using superconducting systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into scalable prototypes
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and industry conferences
- Secure federal and private research funding for 2026 quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM, Rigetti, etc.)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quil)
- Publication record in quantum information science or theoretical physics
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants exceeding $500K
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics fundamentals
