Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with AI teams to create hybrid quantum machine learning frameworks
- Publish high-impact research in leading journals and present at major conferences
- Secure federal and private research funding through compelling proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in at least one quantum hardware platform (superconducting, trapped ions, or photonic)
- Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum complexity theory and cryptography applications
