Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance qubit stability and fidelity
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge quantum software and physical systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into practical implementations
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and industry conferences
- Secure government and private funding through compelling grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and circuit optimization
- Published record in quantum algorithms or error correction methodologies
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and fault-tolerant systems
- Experience with high-performance computing architectures and parallelization
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complex analysis
- Proven ability to secure competitive research grants (NSF, DARPA, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
