Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Lead quantum hardware-software integration projects in a cryogenic environment
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Secure $1M+ in government grants (DARPA, NSF) and industry partnerships
- Develop error-correction protocols for 1000+ qubit systems
- Drive commercialization of quantum applications in finance and biotech
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or ion trap systems
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and statistical modeling
- Experience securing federal research funding
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
