Responsibilities
- Design quantum algorithms for error correction and optimization problems
- Lead experiments with superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware teams on quantum hardware integration
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals
- Secure $5M+ in government/private grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Published work in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Familiarity with quantum machine learning techniques
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- Experience with cryogenic systems or photonics
- Clearance for DoD research projects preferred
