As a key member of our Quantum Research Division, you'll collaborate with Nobel Prize-winning physicists and world-class engineers to develop novel quantum algorithms, optimize qubit stability, and contribute to scalable quantum architectures. Our state-of-the-art facility in Austin offers unparalleled resources for experimental quantum research, including access to cryogenic systems and proprietary quantum simulators.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Conduct cutting-edge research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum circuits compatible with next-generation qubit technologies
- Lead experimental validation of quantum algorithms using our 128-qubit quantum processor
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing curriculum development
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum research experience
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum algorithm development and quantum circuit design
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and high-performance computing
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and quantum information theory
- Experience with quantum error correction protocols and fault-tolerant architectures
- Track record of securing competitive research grants and patents
