Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols for quantum processors operating at 1000+ qubit scale
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects combining quantum computing with AI/ML frameworks
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum Journals
- Secure $5M+ in government and industry grants for quantum innovation
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory and topological computing
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 3 peer-reviewed papers)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with quantum hardware calibration and noise mitigation
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Strong background in computational complexity theory and quantum cryptography
