Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning
- Develop error mitigation protocols for current-generation quantum processors
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-compatible architectures
- Lead peer-reviewed research publications and patent development
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information science principles
- Translate theoretical models into experimental validation protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with exceptional experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction techniques
- Experience with NISQ hardware constraints and optimization strategies
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
