Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for computational acceleration
- Implement error mitigation techniques in NISQ-era hardware
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NSF grants for quantum research
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with industry partners on quantum applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum simulators (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological computing
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum libraries
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence
- Track record of securing government research funding
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware interfaces
