Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction techniques to improve qubit coherence times
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum circuits
- Lead research publications in top-tier quantum computing journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation
- Secure and manage research grants from government and private institutions
- Contribute to open-source quantum computing frameworks and tools
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum gate operations
- Expertise in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Strong mathematical background in linear algebra, probability, and combinatorics
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Proven ability to secure research funding and lead scientific projects
