Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to overcome quantum decoherence and error correction challenges
- Develop quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks for enterprise deployment
- Secure research funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Mentor junior researchers and publish in top-tier journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years of industry experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design (QAOA, VQE, Shor's)
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant systems
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware interfaces
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Track record of translating theoretical research into commercial applications
