Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols for enterprise systems
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing architectures using IBM Q and Rigetti platforms
- Develop error-correction frameworks for fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Optimize quantum algorithms for real-world logistics and molecular modeling applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum capabilities into existing cloud infrastructure
- Research emerging quantum materials and cryogenic cooling systems for hardware acceleration
- Contribute to open-source quantum frameworks like Qiskit and Cirq
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Engineering, or related field (MS with exceptional experience)
- 3+ years experience with quantum computing platforms (IBM Q, D-Wave, or IonQ)
- Expertise in cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quipper, or OpenQASM)
- Strong background in topological quantum error correction codes
- Published research in quantum information theory or condensed matter physics
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and parallel processing
- Security clearance eligibility preferred for government-contracted projects
