Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in AI optimization and financial modeling
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-corrected quantum systems operating at room temperature
- Publish peer-reviewed research on quantum supremacy benchmarks and hybrid quantum-classical architectures
- Secure federal grants and private funding for next-generation quantum hardware initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Develop quantum-resistant encryption protocols for 2026-era cybersecurity frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science journals on quantum entanglement or topological qubits
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of securing NSF or DoE quantum computing grants
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubit manipulation
