Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems using superconducting qubits and photonic processors
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to develop error-correction protocols and quantum networking solutions
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage federal R&D grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development for quantum IP portfolios
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction techniques
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Demonstrated track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware and control systems
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
