Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industry applications
- Lead R&D projects on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure research grants from NSF and DoE quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published work in quantum information theory or topological computing
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
