Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm research for near-term quantum processors
- Develop novel error mitigation techniques for quantum hardware limitations
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate theoretical models into experimental prototypes
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and leading conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum solutions with classical AI systems
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years of experience with quantum circuit design and simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Python and low-level programming for quantum control systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
