Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using superconducting qubits
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $1M+ in government/private quantum research funding
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature Quantum, Quantum)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance theory
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research grants (NSF, DARPA)
- Strong background in quantum machine learning applications
