Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing systems using superconducting and photonic platforms
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum solutions
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents in quantum information science
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum security initiatives post-2025
- Contribute to open-source quantum computing frameworks and libraries
- Mentor junior researchers and interns in quantum physics and computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years post-graduate research
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction codes
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Deep understanding of quantum complexity theory and quantum information
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational physics
- Ability to secure Q-clearance or equivalent government clearance preferred
