Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols
- Establish research partnerships with academic institutions and government quantum initiatives
- Translate theoretical quantum models into practical industry applications
- Secure $5M+ in R&D funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum conferences
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Computer Science with 10+ years' experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum algorithms or quantum supremacy
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#) and cloud quantum platforms
- Proven track record of securing government quantum research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Experience leading teams in ISO 27001-certified quantum research environments
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum annealing
