Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum processors
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum computing breakthroughs
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private foundations
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Develop quantum-resistant cybersecurity protocols for enterprise clients
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Expertise in quantum circuit design, error correction, and quantum machine learning
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Experience securing government grants and managing multi-million dollar research budgets
- Strong background in superconducting or photonic quantum computing architectures
