Responsibilities
- Design and develop quantum computing architectures, including qubit systems, quantum gates, and error correction mechanisms.
- Collaborate with researchers to translate theoretical quantum algorithms into practical implementations.
- Lead the development of quantum software and middleware for system control and algorithm execution.
- Optimize quantum systems for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in quantum computing and integrate new technologies as they emerge.
- Document system designs, protocols, and best practices for quantum computing.
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantum computing, quantum information theory, or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of quantum mechanics, quantum algorithms, and quantum error correction.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and quantum-specific languages like Q# or Qiskit.
- Experience with quantum computing platforms, such as IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or D-Wave.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
