Responsibilities
- Design and optimize quantum circuit architectures for commercial-scale quantum processors
- Develop error-correction protocols and fault-tolerant quantum computing frameworks
- Lead integration of quantum systems with classical high-performance computing infrastructure
- Research and implement novel quantum algorithms for machine learning and optimization problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to define quantum processor specifications and scaling roadmaps
- Document quantum computing architectures and publish research in peer-reviewed journals
- Mentor junior quantum engineers and lead architecture design workshops
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience considered)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum circuit design and simulation tools (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Strong background in high-performance computing and distributed systems
- Published research in quantum computing or demonstrated practical quantum algorithm implementation
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum-specific programming languages
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket, Azure Quantum)
