Responsibilities
- Architect quantum-AI hybrid systems leveraging 100+ qubit processors
- Design error-corrected quantum neural networks for real-world applications
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum algorithms achieving exponential speedups
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, ML engineers, and hardware specialists
- Translate quantum theoretical models into deployable cloud-native solutions
- Secure $10M+ in R&D grants through visionary white papers and proposals
- Mentor quantum computing interns from UT Austin's renowned quantum program
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years designing quantum algorithms with demonstrated scalability
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDK frameworks
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum machine learning
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF, DOE) for quantum projects
- Deep understanding of tensor networks and quantum circuit optimization
- Contributions to open-source quantum AI libraries (e.g., PennyLane, Qibo)
