Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum machine learning algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum processors with neural networks
- Design and optimize quantum circuits for AI acceleration tasks
- Publish 2-3 high-impact research papers annually in top-tier journals
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum-AI initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum computing principles
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into scalable prototypes for commercial deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and error mitigation techniques
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Mastery of Python, TensorFlow, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Experience with D-Wave or IBM Quantum systems
- Strong background in topological quantum computing and fault-tolerant architectures
- Ability to secure $500k+ in research grants annually
