Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient support including mobility assistance, vital sign monitoring, and personal care
- Assist nurses with clinical documentation and equipment preparation
- Maintain clean, organized patient environments following infection control protocols
- Transport patients safely between departments using medical equipment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Participate in continuous training programs to develop clinical skills
- Support patient education initiatives and discharge planning coordination
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- No prior healthcare experience required
- Valid CPR certification (provided upon hire if needed)
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and empathy for diverse patient populations
- Attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- Pass background check and drug screening (standard for healthcare roles)
