Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Perform vital signs and EKG monitoring during night shifts
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and documentation
- Collaborate with on-call physicians and nursing staff
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and medical equipment
- Respond to patient emergencies following protocol
- Update patient electronic health records accurately
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in fast-paced settings
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
