Responsibilities
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and medications under provider supervision
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical instruments
- Assist with patient education and discharge instructions
- Coordinate with pharmacy for prescription management
- Support clinic operations including inventory control
Qualifications
- Current Texas Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EMR systems
- Strong phlebotomy skills with venipuncture experience
- Excellent patient communication in English/Spanish bilingual preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
