Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in fast-paced emergency department setting
- Assess triage acuity levels and prioritize critical interventions
- Administer medications and treatments per physician protocols
- Document electronic health records with precision and timeliness
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for coordinated patient care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (compact license accepted)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with ER experience considered)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in high-volume setting
- EMR proficiency (Epic experience preferred)
