- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps forecasting disruptive innovations in quantum AI, biocomputing, and decentralized networks
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AGI, nanotech, synthetic biology) through patent analysis and academic research
- Design ethical frameworks for autonomous systems ensuring alignment with human values and regulatory compliance
- Lead scenario-planning workshops for C-suite on existential risks and strategic pivots
- Establish partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Future of Humanity Institute, and national research consortia
- Author thought leadership publications on technological singularity preparedness
- Oversee $50M R&D budget allocation for speculative technologies with 10+ year horizons
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Systems Theory, or Futures Studies with 8+ years in strategic tech planning
- Proven track record predicting tech adoption curves (e.g., blockchain, AI) with 90%+ accuracy
- Deep expertise in quantum computing, neuromorphic engineering, or synthetic biology
- Experience with scenario modeling tools (STELLA, AnyLogic) and foresight methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Published research in Nature Futures or similar peer-reviewed futurist journals
- Certification in Technology Foresight (TFP) or Strategic Foresight (AC/SC)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful mitigation of technological disruption risks
- Fluency in Mandarin or Arabic for global stakeholder engagement
