Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating emerging technologies (quantum, AR/VR, neuromorphic computing)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify breakthrough innovations with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Manage $2M+ innovation budgets and vendor partnerships for R&D initiatives
- Author thought leadership publications on technology futures and disruption patterns
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with focus on futurism
- Expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, advanced AI)
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Strong network within venture capital and global tech ecosystems
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Innovation Management preferred
