Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 2026 strategic foresight framework using horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning
- Produce quarterly whitepapers on emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their societal impacts
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight insights into R&D priorities and product roadmaps
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs to track breakthrough innovations
- Create predictive models for market adoption of next-gen technologies
- Advise leadership on ethical implications and regulatory considerations for emerging tech
- Represent FutureWorks at global futurism conferences and thought leadership forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Minimum 5 years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or tech foresight role
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning methodologies and trend analysis frameworks
- Deep knowledge of emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology) and their trajectories
- Exceptional storytelling skills to translate complex futures into actionable business strategies
- Experience facilitating executive workshops and presenting to C-suite audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurism or technology forecasting (journal articles, industry reports)
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, STEEP analysis, causal layered analysis)
