Responsibilities
- Analyze global megatrends, technological disruptions, and socioeconomic shifts to forecast 2026+ market landscapes
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for emerging technologies including quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future insights into product roadmaps and R&D priorities
- Author visionary thought leadership content positioning Horizon as the industry's future-shaping authority
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs to capture cutting-edge research
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory developments impacting long-term technological adoption
- Create executive dashboards visualizing future risk/opportunity matrices for board-level decision-making
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or trend analysis at Fortune 500 level
- Proven expertise in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, blockchain, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional data visualization and storytelling skills for complex future scenarios
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., AC/FS) preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating published future-focused research or thought leadership
