Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints prototyping next-gen solutions (AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech integration)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-7 year adoption windows
- Author strategic whitepapers and thought leadership for industry conferences and publications
- Manage $5M+ innovation portfolio with ROI tracking and risk mitigation frameworks
- Partner with venture capital teams to scout and integrate emerging startups
- Mentor R&D teams in agile methodologies for rapid prototyping and validation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech roles
- Proven track record launching at least two enterprise-scale future-tech initiatives
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with focus on innovation
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, AR/VR, or synthetic biology
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., CFAI, Foresight Practitioner) or equivalent
- Experience building technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 or scale-up companies
- Exceptional storytelling skills for communicating complex technical concepts to stakeholders
- Portfolio demonstrating published thought leadership or patented innovations
