Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technology trends (quantum computing, biotech fusion, AR/VR ecosystems) to develop strategic implementation roadmaps for 2026 market dominance
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate next-gen solutions with rapid iteration cycles
- Partner with venture capital teams to identify and acquire disruptive startups aligned with our 5-year vision
- Develop patent strategies and intellectual property frameworks for proprietary technologies
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Mentor a team of futurists and technology architects in emerging domains
- Establish industry thought leadership through whitepapers, conference keynotes, and technology forecasting reports
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership with proven impact on Fortune 500 tech roadmaps
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Future Studies; PhD preferred
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging tech domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or neuromorphic AI
- Track record of launching technologies achieving $50M+ ARR or equivalent market impact
- Certified in Futures Methodology (e.g., Horizon Scanning, Delphi Techniques) from recognized institutions
- Experience securing $10M+ in R&D funding for experimental technologies
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex technical concepts to executive audiences
