Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for AI/ML, quantum computing, and synthetic biology applications
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive analysis in emerging tech ecosystems
- Lead innovation workshops with engineering and product teams to prototype 2026-use cases
- Present strategic briefings to investors and executive stakeholders quarterly
- Manage $2M+ innovation budget for emerging technology pilots and partnerships
- Author thought leadership on future tech trends for industry publications
- Build and lead a 5-person futurist research team
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or futurist consulting
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Innovation Management
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (AI/quantum/biotech)
- Deep knowledge of global tech policy and regulatory landscapes
- Experience presenting to C-suite and board-level stakeholders
- Certification in Foresight Methodology or Technology Impact Assessment preferred
- Published author or speaker at Web Summit, CES, or similar conferences
- Fluency in data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI) and scenario planning software
