Responsibilities
- Design and conduct cutting-edge research on AI ethics, fairness, and governance frameworks
- Develop ethical guidelines for autonomous systems and machine learning models
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement bias detection and mitigation techniques
- Author white papers and policy recommendations for regulatory bodies
- Lead cross-functional workshops on responsible AI implementation
- Analyze societal impact of emerging AI technologies in healthcare, finance, and transportation
- Maintain thought leadership through academic publications and industry conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Ethics, Philosophy, or related field (Master's with exceptional experience)
- 3+ years researching AI ethics, algorithmic bias, or responsible AI
- Published work in top-tier AI ethics or philosophy journals
- Expertise in bias detection tools and fairness metrics (e.g., AIF360, Fairlearn)
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams (engineers, policymakers, social scientists)
- Deep understanding of EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and evolving global regulations
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex concepts to non-technical audiences
