Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive innovation strategy targeting 2026 market opportunities
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech integration)
- Partner with C-suite to align innovation initiatives with long-term business objectives
- Manage a $5M+ innovation portfolio including pilot programs and venture investments
- Champion a culture of experimentation and rapid prototyping across global teams
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive trends and competitive threats
- Present innovation roadmaps to executive stakeholders and external investors
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology innovation or strategic planning with 5+ in leadership
- Proven track record of launching successful future-focused initiatives
- Expertise in emerging technologies and their commercial applications
- Experience managing multi-million dollar innovation budgets
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Published thought leadership in innovation or technology futurism
