Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for 2026-era technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, advanced AI)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, engineering, and design teams
- Identify and secure partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry leaders
- Conduct horizon scanning to assess emerging technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Present innovation portfolios to C-suite stakeholders and investment committees
- Establish KPIs for measuring technology adoption and market impact
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget across pilot projects and research initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology innovation or R&D leadership, with proven 5-year+ strategic planning experience
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, biotech, AGI, neuromorphic computing)
- Track record of launching at least two breakthrough products/services with >$100M market impact
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field (PhD preferred)
- Strong network within global innovation ecosystems (Silicon Valley, Boston, Shenzhen, Berlin)
- Experience managing distributed teams across 3+ time zones
- Certification in Agile/Scrum and technology foresight methodologies
