Responsibilities
- Develop multi-year strategic plans incorporating emerging tech trends (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Lead cross-functional workshops to forecast market disruptions through 2026
- Produce scenario analyses for geopolitical and technological shifts
- Partner with R&D to align innovation roadmaps with strategic vision
- Present compelling future-state narratives to stakeholders and investors
- Monitor global tech policy and regulatory developments
- Build and maintain a network of futurists and industry pioneers
Qualifications
- 7+ years in strategic planning, futures research, or emerging tech
- Deep expertise in at least two: AI, quantum computing, or climate tech
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial strategy
- Exceptional data storytelling and visualization skills
- Advanced degree in relevant field (MS/MBA/PhD preferred)
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystem
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., WFS, APF) a plus
