Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies, socio-economic shifts, and global megatrends to forecast 2026+ industry landscapes
- Design strategic roadmaps for next-gen products/services using foresight methodologies (scenario planning, horizon scanning)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate future-forward solutions
- Develop thought leadership content (reports, whitepapers, keynotes) positioning FutureHorizon as a futurism authority
- Partner with C-suite executives to integrate future intelligence into corporate strategy and investment decisions
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate an ecosystem of external futurist networks
- Quantify market opportunities and risks through data-driven future modeling
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven expertise in horizon scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning frameworks
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to communicate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Portfolio demonstrating successful futurist projects or published foresight work
- Experience leading cross-cultural teams in global innovation initiatives
- Certification in foresight methodologies (e.g., WFS, APF) strongly preferred
