Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify breakthrough technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop multi-year innovation roadmaps for quantum computing, synthetic biology, and AGI integration
- Facilitate strategic scenario-planning sessions with C-suite executives and government think tanks
- Author '2026 State of the Future' reports published in Nature Futures and MIT Technology Review
- Direct cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen human-AI collaborative systems
- Establish ethical frameworks for exponential technologies in partnership with IEEE and World Economic Forum
- Secure $10M+ in innovation grants from DARPA, NSF, and private foundations
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or equivalent with 8+ years in strategic foresight
- Published portfolio in forecasting disruptive technologies (e.g., quantum supremacy, neural lace)
- Expertise in weak signal detection and exponential trend analysis using AI-powered tools
- Proven track record in scaling innovation from concept to $100M+ market impact
- Deep understanding of biotech convergence points (CRISPR, organoids, digital twins)
- Experience advising Fortune 500 boards on 10-year technology disruption scenarios
- Fluency in futures methodologies: Delphi, causal layered analysis, and cross-impact matrices
- Security clearance preferred for government collaboration projects
