Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology integration
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Present technology strategy to stakeholders through compelling data visualizations and scenario planning
- Mentor a team of innovation specialists and foster a culture of experimental prototyping
- Manage $5M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation decisions
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership within Fortune 500 or high-growth startups
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Strategic Innovation
- Expertise in scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex innovation portfolios
- Deep understanding of ethical implications and regulatory frameworks for future tech
- Certification in Innovation Management or Technology Foresight preferred
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies a strong plus
