Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, vital signs, and EKGs
- Assist providers with clinical procedures and injections
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain exam rooms
- Handle lab specimen processing and point-of-care testing
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
- Ensure strict HIPAA compliance and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana Medical Assistant certification required
- Minimum 2 years urgent care or emergency experience
- BLS/CPR certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Expertise in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Exceptional multitasking and communication skills
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts
- Spanish bilingualism strongly preferred
- Pass background check and drug screening
